The business, that was originally named "138 Motor Sales", was started out in 1982 by Frank Amell.
The original intent of the business was to buy and sell used vehicles. But over time, it was
realized that the best source of income for the business was not the used car sales, but the tire
sales and installations that had started out as a side job.
The business was sold to Garry Mackinnon and Mark Cooper in 1997 and grew to a size and popularity that no one could imagine while under new ownership and management.
